He appeared as head of the household on the census of April 1901 at Ward 5, Toronto, York Co., Ontario, Canada. He is listed as: Smith, Arthur, male, white, head, married, born Sept. 2, 1872, age 28, born Ontario, English origin, Canadian, Baptist, labourer, employee, worked for 12 months, earned $360, able to read, write and speak English. Elizabeth Mary Smith and Arthur Edward Smith also appeared in the household. Arthur died between 1903 and 1909 no registration has been found. He was a Teamster. He was Baptist.
