Neil Argue McLeod was born on Thursday, 22 March 1917 at Tilbury, Essex Co., Ontario, Canada, and was named Neil Argue after his grandmother.. Neil and Stella Nicklos, daughter of Nickolas Tsimbidis and Elizabeth Bertha Shaw, were married by Baptist Minister Edwin B. Pratt on Sunday, 27 November 1938 at First Baptist Church, of Queen and Hill, Seattle, King Co., Washington, USA. On Sunday, at four o'clock in the afternoon. Ethel E. Nichols and Lester Jackson witnessed the marriage. Neil died on Saturday, 23 February 1974 at Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, at age 56 years, 11 months and 1 day after a heart bypass operation. He had dark, slightly curly, brown hair.. He was cremated. He was a Cook in the Royal Canadian Navy and was aboard the 'Ontario' when it was the first Canadian ship to round the 'Horn' on its way to represent Canada at the Queen's Coronation. He taught cooking also. He retired from the Navy as Chief Petty Officer. He then joined the Bank of Nova Scotia as Security Guard and was in charge of the Vault and of Safety Deposit Box duties.
